Blogging Computers in Libraries 2005
It's official, so now I can say so.
My blog will be one of 5 non-Information Today blogs highlighted as a core bloggers for Computers in Libraries. My blog is highlighted at the top of the InfoToday Blog along with:
- Library Stuff by Steven Cohen
- ResearchBuzz by Tara Calishain
- Tame the Web: Technology & Libraries by Michael Stephens
- walking paper by aaron schmidt
and two ITI blogs, the InfoToday Blog, which has its own staff, and the ONLINE Insider blog authored by Marydee Ojala. I talk the folks at ITI about putting together an aggregation and feed of all seven blogs, and after a good point in the right direction from Steven Cohen, set up a Blogdigger Group (http://groups.blogdigger.com/CIL2005), which will generate the RSS feed for these seven blogs. Many thanks to Greg Gershman, the *man* of Blogdigger, for answering all my questions and helping me out.
The plan is also to add a search feed from Blogdigger that searches all blogs for "Computers in Libraries" and terms like it, and aggregates those posts in one bahuge feed. So if you, too, are blogging CIL 2005 on your blog, mention the conference in your posts, and the search feed will gobble them up for the masses.
I'm honored to be in the company of such great librarians and bloggers. This is totally gonna *rawk*.
