Web ransom note app uses Yahoo API
Here's a nifty example of taking a technical tool like the Yahoo API and using it for creative visual search use. There's a Flickr version as well, built by a Flickr user.While these toys have been created by users who operate on more of a geek level, it's an excellent example of much of what I heard at CIL2005, where not only is rich media and collaborative technology use and manipulation on the rise, but online searches can take on new and creative purposes.
