IL2005: Plan for Tuesday
I need to be up all sorts of early, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, for a 7am breakfast with Bob Berkman (editor of The Information Advisor) on his tentatively-titled book Who Really Knows? Judging Authority and Credibility in the Age of the Weblog and Citizen-Expert. I'm hoping to be able to blog some bits from the conversation, since the list of "thinking ahead" questions he sent out were really interesting, spanning everything from judging blog and Wikipedia article authoritativeness to credibility of the media in the wake of citizen journalists to elitism vs. anti-elitism. Awesome stuff.
Then I'm off to the keynote by Liz Lawley on "Social Computing & the Info Pro". I had the pleasure of chatting with Liz this morning (and getting a few photos and subsequent Flickr comments) about my presentation, her presentation, and the presentation writing habits of presenters in the wild. I'm very much looking forward to hearing her ever-evolving talk.
I may or may not hit another session in the morning, but it really depends on how much write-up work I get done. If I do hit anything, it'll probably be in the "Planning for the Future" track, although those presentations sound a bit like techie stuff I already know. Seeing as I'm a big future foward thinker type, it might still be interesting. All things depending, I might be a) going to San Francisco tomorrow night, or b) going to the Speaker's Reception. We'll see how it goes.
