Borders Educator Savings Days March 23 - 28, 2006
Every year, Borders offers a special educator discount of 25% off regular prices (20% off DVDs, and there are a few other restrictions). This year, the discount days will occur from March 23 - 28, not in April as they normally do.
The ad on the site notes that you need only bring proof of your educator status to receive the discount (like, say, a library association membership card or letter... they may even take a business card with photo ID to back it up). I know they include librarians in Massachusetts (MLA sends out a reminder email about the sale every year), but I'm not sure what the rule is in other states, so you may want to contact the Borders near you for details.
There's also a special free reception for educators at participating Borders stores on March 24 from 4 - 8 pm (also contact your local store for details). I left a message with the event team to see if the Boston store would be hosting one such reception, since librarians will be in town for PLA that week, and I'll post more info when I hear from them.
Shop happy and discounted!
